Washburn Guitars at The Music Room

Washburn was founded in 1883 here in Chicago as the plucked string division of instrument manufacturers Lyon & Healy. The company’s innovations include the 1912 introduction of the Lakeside Jumbo, often considered the first dreadnought guitar, and the Festival Series of acoustic guitars, featuring feedback-reducing design and sound slots, used by artists including Bob Dylan, George Harrison, and Jimmy Page. Washburn’s offerings range from the comfy and durable WCD18 to the refined Elite series, constructed with exotic woods and lavish trim. Here at The Music Room, our employees are happy to help you select the perfect Washburn guitar.
